Shey is very good at her job, she was bred for it! English and Irish Gypsy families relied on Gypsy Vanner horses to pull their caravans and to take care of their children. As a therapeutic riding horse, Shey uses her gentle intuition and kindness to relate to her students. She uses her strength and stature to safely carry riders who are overcoming physical challenges. Before coming to SRA, Shey was a brood mare and had four foals. She had never been ridden, but her maternal nature helped her learn quickly how to care for her human students on the ground and in the saddle.
